GUARDAMI – images from the prison

A bird in cage doesn’t sing for love, but just for rage.

“GUARDAMI” (Look at me) is a photographic project, displaying the portraits of detained prisoners, serving sentences in Alessandria’s prison, Northern Italy.

“GUARDAMI” is a window opened on a timeless space, where the concept of waiting is an end in itself. As the walls close in the prisoners, they also close out the people, feeding them with prejudice.
